Come ogni anno, il Consiglio di Stato cinese ha emesso una circolare in cui sono riportati i giorni festivi per l’anno successivo. Quest'anno la circolare, la Numero 12 del 2017, è stata pubblicata il 30 novembre.

- Capodanno (元旦, Yuándàn): 1° gennaio. Essendo un lunedì, gli altri due giorni di riposo sono quelli del weekend precedente (30 e 31 dicembre).
- Capodanno cinese (春节, Chūnjié): dal 15 al 21 febbraio (il Capodanno è il 16 febbraio, anno del Cane di terra). Si recupereranno due giorni lavorando domenica 11 e sabato 24 febbraio.
- Giorno della Pulizia delle Tombe (清明节, Qīngmíng jié): dal 5 al 7 aprile. Il giorno festivo è il 5 aprile e si recupera il giorno di “troppo” lavorando domenica 8 aprile.
- Festa dei Lavoratori (劳动节, Láodòng jié): si festeggia il 1° maggio, come nel resto del mondo, ma diventa un weekend lungo essendo festivi anche il 29 e il 30 aprile. Si lavora sabato 28 aprile.
- Festa delle Barche Drago (端午节, Duānwŭ jié): la festa in onore del poeta Qu Yuan si celebra il 18 giugno. Essendo un lunedì, non sono previsti altri giorni festivi.
- Festa di Metà Autunno (中秋节, Zhōngqiū jié): si celebra il 24 settembre, senza altri giorni.
- Festa Nazionale (国庆节, Guóqìng jié): la Festa Nazionale in onore della fondazione della Repubblica Popolare Cinese prevede 7 giorni di vacanza dal 1° al 7 ottobre. Sono però considerati lavorativi sabato 29 e domenica 30 settembre.

As every year, the Chinese State Council issued a notice to inform the population about the holidays’ schedule for the following year. This year's notice, Number 12 of 2017, was issued on November 30th.

- New Year (元旦, Yuándàn): January 1st. Since January 1st 2018 is a Monday, there are no more festive days as it is considered as the prolongation of the weekend.
- Chinese New Year (春节, Chūnjié): from February 15th to 21st. Actual New Year Day is February 16th (entering the year of the Earth Dog). Working days are Sunday 11th and Saturday 24th.
- Tomb Sweeping Day (清明节, Qīngmíng jié): from April 5th to 7th. The festive day is April 5th, so Sunday 8th will be a working day as compensation.
- Workers’ Day (劳动节, Láodòng jié): it is an international holiday, celebrated on May 1st. April 29th and 30th are considered festive, but Saturday 28th is a working day for compensation.
- Dragon Boat Festival (端午节, Duānwŭ jié): the holiday to remember the poet Qu Yuan is celebrated on June 18th. No other days are given being the Festival on a Monday.
- Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节, Zhōngqiū jié): this Festival is celebrated on September 24th (Monday).
- National Holiday (国庆节, Guóqìng jié): the National Holiday that remembers the establishment of the People’s Republic in 1949 is given 7 days of holiday from October 1st to 7th, but September 29th (Saturday) and 30th (Sunday) will be working days.
